Welcome to Kalgoorlie Baptist Church!

  •KINGDOM BUILDING COMMUNITY •

Welcome to our regular attenders and to those who are looking to find out more!

As you know, things are rapidly changing and as a church we are choosing to have faith, not fear and to look for new opportunities to BE the church.

FROM THE KBC DIACONATE

Dear KBC Community,

As the impact of COVID-19 continues to make a profound impact on the way of life that we are accustomed to, we can hold on to genuine hope that as followers of Jesus, when we feel weakness and fear, He is always able to strengthen our faith.

In Psalm 20:1-2 David declared,

“May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.”

Standing on this foundation of solid rock, the KBC Diaconate, who have been meeting regularly over the last two weeks for the purpose of responding to the current health situation, have agreed that the following measures must now be taken:

As a Church we are endeavouring to follow Australian government regulations.

All regular Church gatherings have ceased with immediate effect, until further notice.

The Australian government wants us to keep visitors to our homes at a minimum.

All home group activities/face to face meetings (including Sunday mornings) are to cease, but the Diaconate encourage all home group leaders to continue home groups by using social media.

We encourage everyone to use social media and phones to look out for each other.

We are gearing up to offer pastoral care to individuals, families and homes.

Each member of the Diaconate can be contacted either through our KBC Email address:

or on the following numbers:

Kim: 0448 755 580

We continue to acknowledge that these are uncharted waters for all of us, but we believe that it’s exciting to be walking in faith, rejecting fear and trusting God to show us how to be the Church in this testing time. We encourage you to dig deeper into the unshakeable truth found only in the Bible. We have a strong sense that God is pointing us, in this season of trial, to the Psalms, where God’s people have drawn such courage and hope throughout every age. Now it’s our turn…
