Life Finders

Welcome to Bright Sparks – Kids Ministry at KBC

Kids are important to God and are a valuable part of the Kalgoorlie Baptist Church family! Instilling the truth of God's word in kids, within an environment of love, grace and fun helps prepare them for everyday life and the challenges that come along.

Having a personal relationship with Jesus

Seeing kids grow in their understanding and experience of Jesus' love and saving power for themselves is one of our passions. It's not just important that they know about God, but being able to talk about the difference He makes in each one of their lives ensures their faith is alive and active. We encourage them to read the Bible and pray so they can grow closer to God. And the same goes for our leaders. All are encouraged to share about their own faith journey and how God leads and transforms us each day.

Part of the Church Family

Here at Kalgoorlie Baptist Church kids are a very important part of our church family, so they are welcomed into the main worship service on Sunday mornings, for worship with their families, then we go to Bright Sparks in the kids hall at about 10.15am.

We ask that parents complete a Registration Form on the first week that their kids come to Bright Sparks. This can be downloaded here (then fill it in on your computer and print it out).

All Kids are Unique

Some learn by seeing, some by hearing and others by experiencing. We try to mix it up each week to give kids a range of opportunities to learn and grow through object lessons, drama, puppets, games and active participation. After the main message session, kids will work in age based groups with activities that are relevant for their stage of learning and interests.

Connecting with the kids in meaningful and caring ways allows the kids to feel part of God's family while they are at Bright Sparks and our leaders will encourage the kids in their faith journey by praying with them in their small groups.

Family and Church Partnership

At Bright Sparks we value the partnership we have with the parents in building the kids up in faith and love. We aim to connect with families, giving them feedback about what happens at Bright Sparks and encouraging them to talk about what the kids have learnt each week.

We welcome parents who want to come in and experience Bright Sparks themselves, even if it's just for one week! We appreciate that parents have an awesome responsibility for the spiritual growth of their children and we would love to help in any way we can. Please come and speak to us if you have any questions.
