Last Sunday morning we launched our new sermon series, THE TRUE LIGHT THAT GIVES LIGHT – a look at the Gospel of John. I was inspired to compose this prayer, based on Chapter 1:
A Prayer for the True Light
Dear Heavenly Father,
In You alone we find life, and that life is the light of all humankind.
Your light shines in the darkness, and the darkness will never overcome it.

OCC Shoeboxes are Due in by THIS SUNDAY 30th September
Don’t forget to put your labels on your boxes and $10 for each box. Paying on-line is the safest option. Then you can print and attach the bar coded labels and receive updates on where your shoeboxes go to. All of the OCC Shoe-boxes will be collected and sent to Perth during the first week of term 4 (8th–14th October)

Over the next couple of months, fresh fundraising mangoes will be arriving straight from Kununurra for $45 for a 10 kilo box. These are picked by volunteers, and proceeds go to support “Ruma Abedona Hospice” - a palliative care facility in Kolkata, India, “Families God’s Way in the Kimberley” - a biblical parenting program for Aboriginal parents, and the radio broadcasts of “Reach Beyond” - all demonstrating the love of God

Carols is on again this year and we need lots of volunteers:
Catering: (rolls for lunches Sunday arvo and dinner for Saturday night)
Roadies: from 8am to unpack trucks
3pm our gates together and 1x person to do line marking at 4pm.
Stage security: 1x for 9pm-midnight and 1x 6am-9am.
Elves: anyone who wants to dress up and hand out lollies and booklets :)
